Mosaic tile decoration dates back thousands of years BC. Once an art form, mosaic designs were created using small pieces of glass, stone, shell and other materials all carefully pieced together one-by-one to form detailed pictures and portraits much like a painting. Complicated mosaic designs and patterns were used to decorate floors, ceilings & walls in palaces, places of worship and homes of the rich and powerful.

Unlike the Romans our mosaics come on a mesh back so you can tile your walls and floors in hours not years. You can choose from glass, ceramic, porcelain and variety of stone- marble, travertine, granite, slate and limestone in a polished or honed finish. Most
mosaicsare uniform square or brick shape available in different sizes but there are also a number of unique mixed size and shape mosaic sheets to create a more tradition rustic feel.
If you’re adventurous you can piece together your own designs by cutting the mesh into strips or shapes, creating your own colour mix and patterns. Or why not choose from one of the many patterns laid out on a mesh ready for fixing.

here. If you would like to use mosaics but can't afford a complete wall and floor covering why not pair your chosen mosaic with a plain tile? Mosaics are great for creating feature walls, adding a touch of something special in plain bathroom settings. Instead of a border tile, cut down mosaic sheets and run mosaic strips vertically or horizontally as thick as you like for decoration. Mosaics look great even as a splash back above the bath and around your basin.
